On July 4 the sect "Jews for Jesus" began a planned program of evangelization in Dnepropetrosk. It was announced that the program was to last till July27. The activists gave out leaflets calling on Jews and Orthodox Christians to join the sect. At the same time they were intending to show a propagandistic film "Survivors' stories" on local television and in a number of cinemas.
