Buddi Allen thinks that most of the people will always be interested in two things: the relations between two genders and between Jews. If we look upon the films that became prizewinners at the film festivals this year and arose interest (with the shade of a scandal) then we may say that the son of Odessa Jew, in whose films almost all American film women-stars were shot, knows what he is speaking about. The exhibition of the Kiev painter German Gold was opened in the Jewish community center on November 14. The exhibition was supported by the Jewish fund of Ukraine. Personal exhibition of the photographer Marchelo Brodsky was held in Argentina. It was dedicated to the 1978-1983 events. Nowadays, few recollect those horrible events. This was the reason for Marchelo to organize the exhibition. In those days the military junta ruled the country. Mass persecution touched practically all population strata, especially Jews. This is the name of the musical play staged at the Zaporoje people's theater of author's song. It will be 10 years soon since Elena Alekseyeva set up this theatre in Zaporoje. This is a small group of like-minded people without any official status and permanent premises. It stands on a naked enthusiasm but every year it yields new plays to the delight of its numerous admirers. V.ROZINA
