Personal exhibition of the photographer Marchelo Brodsky was held in Argentina. It was dedicated to the 1978-1983 events. Nowadays, few recollect those horrible events. This was the reason for Marchelo to organize the exhibition. In those days the military junta ruled the country. Mass persecution touched practically all population strata, especially Jews. Dossiers were collected on people to learn more about them - who they are, what they do, whom they communicate with. Then these people were arrested and sent to prison or concentration camps. About 4500 Jews were killed only from 1976 till 1983.
Photos of different years were shown at the exhibition, reflecting the life of Jewish families, their way of life, traditions and holidays. Most of the photos are stricken with melancholy and grief, meditation about the fate of the Jewish people. However, there is still a hope in the pictures that the bad times will pass soon and happiness and joy will come to Jews. Nevertheless, the last picture - explosion at the community center in 1994 reminds us that the terrible times may return and one must do one's best not to let them return. The last exhibit the Star of David made from stone fragments collected after the explosion.
