Germany. Police arrested 5 members of a German skinhead rock-group "Landzer", accused of racism and anti-Semitism inflaming. This was informed by the Federal Public Prosecutor of Germany.

The musicians were charged with propaganda of hatred and violence, directed against social and sexual minorities. Their songs call to kill strangers, Jews, Gypsies and political opponents. "Landzer" songs abound in tirades, spreading hatred to representatives of other races, Jews and sexual minorities", - the sue says.

The Federal Office of Public Prosecutor especially emphasizes the seriousness of this case in view of the inadmissibility of spreading fascism and violence ideas in the country.

France. A letter with white powder in it was found in a post office in Louvre Street in the centre of Paris. It was addressed to the French Anti-Racism and Anti-Semitism League. The envelope's contents is being analyzed in a special biochemical Paris laboratory. The post office officials were immediately evacuated from their workplaces. Eight of them underwent medical examination.

USA. The Syracuse (New York State) synagogue opened again after it was set on fire by unknown criminals last year. The fire that happened on October 13, 2000 in the Temple Beth El synagogue seriously damaged its walls and windows. Neither police, nor FBI has made any substantial progress in the investigation of this crime.

Switzerland. The Federal Court of Switzerland confirmed the sentence passed on an elderly anti-Semite (81 year old), who publicly denied the fact of the Holocaust. Previously the cantonal court sentenced Gaston-Arman Amadruza to three months of prison, but the accused filed an appeal. The criminal proceedings against Amadruza were instituted after numerous publications in his newspaper "Continental Courier". It says ethnic minorities are still being discriminated by authority representatives, radical politicians and some mass-media. It was also reported that the government is taking measures against racism and intolerance. However, natives of Caucasia and Central Asia, Jews and certain religious groups are still facing discrimination.
