FROM ARGENTINA - WITH GRATITUDE
World Jewish Congress and European Jewish Congress addressed February 2002 Jewish Confederation of Ukraine and Confederation of Jewish religions organizations and communities with a request to help Argentinean community celebrate Pesakh, rather, deliver a product this holiday is impossible without - Matzos. Kiev Matzo bakery at the Synagogue in Podol, working practically day and night at full capacity, managed within counted days to produce 10 tons of "bread of our poverty" especially for Argentina.

Dear Rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich
On behalf of The Tzedaka Foundation, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each member of your community. Due to the community's generous contribution every Argentine Jewish family in need was able to have matzo during Passover this year.
"Every JPW is responsible for every other Jew." This saying accompanied 10 tons of matzo shipped from Ukraine to Argentina, ensuring that not a single Jewish family in this country was without matzo on Passover.
The wise Jews say: "Tzedaka is equal in importance to all the other commandments combined". And there is no greater truth because your contribution not only represents a helping hand to those in need but it also gives hope to hundreds of families, a brighter future to thousands of children and dignity to infinity of elders.
Gestures like yours exemplify the concept of "Tzedaka" in the true sense of the word -Justice and Solidarity- and also encourages our Foundation to continue to move forward with hope in these arduous times and plan actions that will transform the present into a better and brighter future for everyone.
On behalf of thousands of Argentinean families and our Foundation, we thank you again for your support, and we hope that this new bond only grows stronger.
Today, all the members of the Jewish community in Ukraine should feel true Tzadikim.
